Give the Mail app in Windows a nicer look. Adjust the distance between folders and emails for more peace of mind.
Inbox display
The Mail app in Windows has a sleek design with few bells and whistles. Adjust the distance between folders and message lines to your liking for even more peace of mind. The folders are on the left side of the window. In the middle section is a list of emails. For each email, there is a message line containing the sender, subject, and time the email arrived. By adjusting the distance between the folders and message lines, you will see more or fewer items in the window.
Adjust folder and message spacing
For folder and message spacing, there are three options: large, normal and compact. Try out the modes and see what you like most:
- Open the Mail app.
- Click on the ‘Settings’ icon at the bottom left. That’s a gear icon.
- A window opens on the right. In the window, click Personal settings.
- Under “Folder and Message Distance,” click the option you want: Big, Normal or Compact.
- Click next to the settings window to close the settings again.
The adjustment takes effect immediately.
