Apple expert Mark Gurman has recently announced on Twitter that Apple will introduce the new AirPods Max 2 during the iPhone 16 event. This is the first time that Apple’s headphones have received an update since 2020.

According to Gurman, the AirPods Max 2 will get better noise cancellation, adaptive audio and a USB-C port. Noise cancellation blocks out background noise, while adaptive audio adjusts the noise cancellation based on the noise around you.

Furthermore, nothing is known yet about what the new features of the AirPods Max 2 will be. There are also no rumors about what colors the AirPods Max 2 will come in or whether Apple has tinkered with the design.

Mark Gurman’s announcement comes as a surprise, as he previously said that there would be no new AirPods Max. But that comment now seems to be a thing of the past. In addition to the new AirPods Max 2, the AirPods 4 will also be released. No new AirPods Pro 3 are expected.

Apple released the AirPods Max 2 in late 2020. The AirPods Max 2020 currently cost 579 euros at Apple. The price of the AirPods Max 2 will probably be slightly higher and will be brought into line with the original recommended retail price of the AirPods. That would mean that the AirPods Max 2 will cost 629 euros.

On Monday, September 9, 2024 7:00 PM the time has finally come, because the iPhone 16 will be announced during the keynote! There will be four iPhones released again this year: the iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
