The unveiling of the Alfa Romeo Tonale is rapidly approaching. On February 8, the Italians will pull the curtain on the new compact SUV. In a new teaser video, part of the nose of the Tonale can be seen, but Alfa Romeo also highlights a piece of the digital instrumentation.
The latter is perhaps the most interesting, because through spyshots, images of a prototype without camouflage, our illustrator and – not to forget – the Tonale Concept from 2019, we already have a good idea of how the new SUV from Alfa Romeo will look like. In the teaser, the counter house of the Tonale comes to the fore. This traditionally consists of two ‘tubes’ that are connected to each other. We will probably not see the analog instruments of the Stelvio and Giulia, because the Tonale has a digital dashboard. However, the ‘counters’ are still round and their layout is inspired by the past. Whether the style of the counters can be adjusted will become clear when they are unveiled.
The nose teaser, which appears in the video on the digital dashboard of the Tonale, confirms earlier suspicions about the front of the SUV. The daytime running lights consist of LEDs in an arrangement of six U-shapes and of course the Tonale has the characteristic triangular grille. Compared to the leaked prototype without camouflage, it seems that the headlights of the production model have become narrower. This makes the final Tonale possibly more similar to the Tonale Concept.
We will know more on 8 February, because then Alfa Romeo will officially pull the curtain on its latest model.
