The annual iPhone event is already over, but according to rumors there will be an Apple event with a number of extra products.
Apple event in October 2025
We are not sure at the moment whether there will indeed be an Apple event in October 2025. It is not something that comes back every year. The most recent October events from Apple were in 2021 and 2023. In October 2022 and 2024 there were no Apple events. Instead, Apple then announced new products with press releases and a series of shorter product videos. For the sake of completeness here an overview of recent years:
- 2021 (Monday, October 18): 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M1 Pro and M1 MAX chips, AirPods 3 and new HomePod mini colors.
- 2022 (press releases on Tuesday, October 18): iPad Pro with M2 chip, iPad 10 and 3rd generation Apple TV 4K.
- 2023 (Monday, October 30): 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max-Chips, and iMac with M3 chip.
- 2024 (press releases on Monday 28 October to Wednesday 30 October): 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, iMac with M4 chip and Mac Mini with M4 and M4 Pro-chips.

We expect these products this year
According to Mark Gurman van Bloomberg, there will be iPad Pro models with Apple’s M5 chip this year. If that is true, there is a good chance that an event will take place in October of this year, since the standard M1 to M4 chips were all revealed during events. In addition, it is expected that Apple will update the Vision Pro with the M5 chip.
New MacBook Pro models with M5, M5 Pro and M5 MAX chips will soon be in mass production, but will probably not be announced until the beginning of 2026.
This is the list of products that Gurman expects to be presented during an Apple event in October 2025:
- Apple TV: a faster A17 Pro chip that supports the renewed version of Siri next year, powered by Apple Intelligence. Possibly also with N1 chip and WiFi 7 support. In addition, there are rumors about a built-in facetime camera in the new Apple TV.
- HomePod Mini: S9 chip or newer who supports the renewed version of Siri next year, powered by Apple Intelligence. The HomePod Mini may also receive 7 support with N1 chip and WiFi, improved sound quality, two generation Ultra Wideband chip and new colors.
- Airtag: up to 3x larger range for following items compared to the current airtag, a better secure speaker and reports at a very low battery life.
- iPad Pro: M5 chip and two cameras on the front, making photos and video calls possible in both standing and in lying positions.
- Vision Pro: a faster M4 chip or M5 chip, a new headband that improves comfort and possibly the color Spacezwart.
- MacBook Pro: Severer sources say that MacBook Pro models with M5 chips are probably only on the market at the beginning of 2026. It is not clear whether this also applies to other Macs with M5 chips, such as an iMac or Mac Mini.
- Studio Display: We expect a new version of the Studio Display with Mini-Led’s at the end of 2025 or early 2026.

On the list of Gurman, there is no rumor about one Cheaper MacBook With an A18 Pro or A19 Pro chip. It will probably also be on the market at the end of 2025 or early 2026 and is therefore a possible candidate for the Apple event in October.
