Anker Nano Power Bank 30W
The Anker Nano Power Bank is very compact (10.4 × 5.2 × 2.6 cm) and very suitable for quickly putting in your bag or backpack when you leave home. The power bank is also not that heavy, because it weighs only 213 grams and costs 39.95 euros.
There is also a cable integrated into the Anker Nano Powerbank 30W. Funny detail: this cable also functions as a carrying loop.
If you want to connect the power bank, slide the plug (a USB C connection) out. This connection is an input and an output at the same time. So, for example, you can charge your iPhone with it, but you can also connect it to an adapter and charge the power bank itself.
Please note: for an iPhone with a lightning port, you still need an adapter or your own cable. Fully charging your iPhone takes an hour and fifteen minutes on average, but that depends on the type of iPhone.
Three connections for sufficient flexibility
As mentioned, you can use the Anker Nano Powerbank with the integrated cable. But in addition to this connection, there are two more connections, namely a USB A and a USB C port. Just like the integrated cable, the USB-C port is also both an input and output. The USB A connection, on the other hand, is only an output. So you cannot charge the power bank with that.
You can charge with a maximum of 30 watts via both USB-C connections of the Anker Nano Powerbank. The USB-A port cannot handle that and is stuck at a maximum of 22.5 watts. That in itself is not a problem, but we recommend using one of the two USB-C ports if possible.
If you have a slightly older iPhone with a Lightning port, preferably use a ‘USB-C to Lightning’ cable. If you only have a ‘USB-A to Lightning’ cable, charging will take a little longer.
Charging works well, but is not super fast
The iPhone 14 Plus that we wanted to charge as a test was actually far from empty. He was at 73 percent. After an hour of charging with the Anker Nano Power Bank, the percentage had risen to 94. We should note that charging above 80 percent is actually always slower. The percentage of the power bank has dropped from 98 to 76 percent due to charging.
Then we had a completely empty iPhone 14 Pro Max fully charged in just over an hour. This was an iPhone that had just been set up from scratch, with no additional apps. The Anker Nano Powerbank went from 74 to 8 percent during this charging session. If your power bank is completely full, you can easily fully charge an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
A handy integrated display
The percentage of the power bank becomes visible when you press the button at the top or when you connect the power bank. It then disappears automatically after 20 seconds. If nothing is displayed, you cannot see that there is a display built into the power bank at all.
When you charge a device with the power bank, the display shows how much energy is left and approximately how long you can charge it. If you charge the power bank yourself, you will see on the display how long it will take before the power bank is fully charged again.
Conclusion: Anker Nano Power Bank 30W
The Anker Nano Power Bank may not be the fastest and most powerful power bank available, but given its compact dimensions and low weight, it doesn’t perform badly at all.
You can easily fully charge an iPhone 14 Pro Max in about an hour, so it is definitely worth taking the power bank with you charged.
Furthermore, the integrated display looks quite slick and it is useful that you can also use the fixed USB-C cable as a carrying loop. If you have a modern iPhone, you don’t need to take an extra cable with you at all.
You buy the Anker Nano Powerbank 30W for an amount of 39.95 euros at GSMpunt.nl.
