The question ‘what makes a supercar’ is difficult to answer. That cars in that category bring the necessary visual drama, however, always seems to be the case. The Apollo Project Evo is a textbook example of this.
Anyone who does not have a warm feeling for sharp folds, violent curves and dozens of cooling openings, was undoubtedly not a fan of the Apollo IE (Intensa Emotion) that rose from the ashes of the German Gumpert in October 2017. Apollo now shows the first images of the successor to that fiercely stylized extremist: the Project Evo.
The Apollo Project Evo is a textbook example of a car that is overloaded with external elevators. The car has X-shaped lighting, heavy spoiler and bumper work, huge openings and the necessary folds and kinks in its body, which is undoubtedly made of a lightweight material. Apollo unfortunately shares very little about the Project Evo, but it is clear that the company does not intend to lose intensity after the IP.
Apollo IE
The Apollo IE was a 1,250 kilo speed monster with a 791 hp and 760 Nm strong 6.3 V12, which has its origins in the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and LaFerrari and which was last in the GTC4Lusso. Whether the final production version of the Project Evo will get a turbo or supercharger remains to be seen.
Incidentally, Apollo has more news in store. For example, the company immediately releases the EVision Concept, an electric study model, about which very little is known.
