Many companies have put their holiday special online in the past month, which was of course also the case with Apple. A Critter Carol is a cheerful Apple Holiday film of approximately 2.5 minutes, shot entirely on the iPhone 17 Pro, directed by Mark Molloy and featuring handmade puppets of nine forest animals such as raccoon, squirrel and rabbit.
The story follows a group of woodland animals who find a lost iPhone 17 Pro, film themselves singing a funny song about friendship (inspired by “Friends” from Flight of the Conchords), including absurd lines like “friends eat trash together” and dramatic promises of revenge, before the owner finds the phone via Find My app. The film celebrates friendship as a gift, highlighting iPhone features like 8x zoom, Center Stage and ProRes RAW.
The Apple year 2025 depicted using the best videos that Apple has published over the past year. You will see them one more time until the new year; from events to the new iPhone 17 Pro, from Apple Intelligence to software announcements, it was an Appletastic year.

Lost iPhone? Use Find My app
To find your iPhone using Find My, open the Find My app on another Apple device or go to iCloud.com/find on a computer and sign in with your Apple ID, then select your iPhone on the map to see its current or last known location.
Then tap Play Sound to activate a loud alert when the device is nearby, or activate Lost Mode by setting a message, phone number and code to lock it and receive notifications when found. Find My must be enabled in advance via Settings ▸ your name ▸ Find My ▸ Find My iPhone (including Find My Network and Send Last Location) so that it works via the Internet or Bluetooth.
Camera features iPhone 17 Pro
The iPhone 17 Pro has an advanced camera system with three 48-megapixel Fusion lenses, including a new telephoto lens that supports 4x and even 8x optical zoom for much sharper zoom photos. The camera has an updated Photonic Engine that improves color reproduction and reduces noise with AI, and in addition to 4K Dolby Vision video up to 120 fps, you can now also record ProRes RAW video and use Genlock for synchronous filming with other cameras.

The front camera has been improved with 18 megapixels, Center Stage and advanced image stabilization, so you can make smooth videos, even in motion, plus the option of Dual Capture to film with the front and back at the same time. The iPhone 17 Pro therefore offers professional film and photo functions that open up many new possibilities for both creative professionals and casual users.
