Apple 2025: WWDC 2025 with iOS 26, macOS Tahoe and Liquid Glass

WWDC 2025 took place online again this year. The special event kicked off with a press presentation from Apple packed with new software and the announcement of a new design

We were introduced to iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe and watchOS 26. The AirPods and tvOS 26 also received the necessary attention. Apple introduced Liquid Glass as a new design technique for Apple software, inspired by visionOS. It uses real-time rendering to dynamically respond to motion and environment for a glass-like interface.

The Apple year 2025 depicted using the best videos that Apple has published over the past year. You will see them one more time until the new year; from events to the new iPhone 17 Pro, from Apple Intelligence to software announcements, it was an Appletastic year.

New for Apple Software

Liquid Glass

The new design is inspired by the depth and dimension of visionOS and takes advantage of Apple’s recent advances in hardware, Silicon processors and graphics technologies. The new technology, Liquid Glass, is translucent and resembles real glass. The color of the environment is reflected in it and adapts to light and dark environments.

Developed through collaboration between Apple designers and engineers, Liquid Glass uses real-time rendering to dynamically respond to motion. This provides a lively appearance, making iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV even more pleasant to use.

Liquid Glass: Go for an extreme glass look with an optional clear design

This brilliant new technology applies to the smallest elements you use every day – buttons, controls, text and media controls – as well as the larger ones, like the tab bars and sidebars you use to navigate apps. The technology is also applied to system elements such as the lock screen, the home screen, the control panel, notifications and much more.
