Get in the mood for the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend with Apple cards. The tech giant has added the Monaco circuit to their card app.
It is a detailed view so that you can see every bend, facilities and other details. Of course, Apple has hid the necessary Formula 1 references in the area and there is even advertising of the F1: The Movie With Brad Pitt, which can be seen this summer on Apple TV+.
Monaco circuit in Apple cards
Apple has released a new update for Apple cards, which can now be viewed in detail the Formula 1 circuit of Monaco. This addition was specially done in preparation for the Monaco Grand Prix, which takes place on Sunday 25 May.
Thanks to the update you can already virtually explore the special street circuit in Apple cards. Surrounding buildings, grandstands and iconic locations such as the Casino de Monte Carlo, Hôtel de Paris and the Yacht Club de Monaco can also be viewed in detail.

The circuit has a clear display during the day and an attractive night mode when you use your iPhone, iPad or Mac with the dark mode. Extra details become visible around the racing days, such as bend markers, grandstands and the finish line. The app also provides real-time information about temporary road closures during the event
Cities in detail
Adding the circuit is a smart function to make maps more realistic and more user -friendly. Apple uses cities in detail (Detailed City Experience), a function that shows cities and their landmarks in 3D and with many more details. This way it is easy for the user to navigate in the app.
‘Cities in detail’ also contains amazing details of road lines, ground use, trees and public transport routes. The display also helps you to find the way because, for example, exits, central verges, cycle paths, bus lanes and pedestrian crossings are clearly indicated. For motorists there is a dashboard view, in which you get to see complicated intersections at car height. That makes it easier to estimate the traffic and choose the right track.
View Monaco Circuit in Apple Cards
- Open cards from Apple on your iPhone, iPad or Mac
- Search for ‘Circuit de Monaco’
- The street circuit is activated
- Tap click on ‘3D’ to activate the three -dimensional mode

You can then zoom in and out, turn the card and view all the details around the circuit. For example, Formula 1 cars can be seen, the grandstand, famous locations and interesting details. Between bend thirteen and fourteen there is even a billboard for the F1: The Movie With Brad Pitt, which can be seen this summer on Apple TV+.
