Apple cards get a major update with iOS 26, making the navigation service much better. These are all changes!
Apple cards
Apple iOS 26 announced at the WWDC 2025! With the update a new interface comes to your iPhone and many applications get more functions. One of those apps is Apple cards, because the navigation service is much better at iOS 26. Apple brings the new design from iOS 26 to the card app and adds a number of useful features. Curious which those are? We put them under each other!
1. New design
Apple has renewed the design of iOS 26 and that can be seen in Apple cards. In 2025 the design of Apple cards will receive a major update, making the application look completely different. In iOS 26, the map app has more transparent frames with rounded corners. You can also see the new interface in all the symbols of Apple cards that have been updated. 2. Daily routines
Apple cards becomes a lot smarter, because the navigation service recognizes your daily routines from iOS 26. The map app records routes that you take regularly. Think of the way to work, taking a detour to drop off children or to get coffee at your favorite store. Apple maps then take these routines into the proposed routes, so that you will no longer be returned to the fastest route.

3. Visited places
Apple cards not only remember your daily routines, but also shows the places you have visited before from iOS 26. For example, the navigation service records the restaurants and shops where you have been before, which you see in a list of recently visited places. These places are divided into categories, so that you can easily find them. All data is also encrypted end-to-end, so that even Apple cannot view the information. Your privacy is therefore guaranteed.

Release of iOS 26
With iOS 26, Apple cards get handy functions and a new design. Developers can already get started with the test versions of iOS 26, the final update will only be published later. Apple usually releases the largest software updates of the year in September. So just patience, because in mid -September, users can try out the new functions of iOS 26.
That does not apply to everyone, because a number of iPhones no longer have support for the latest software version. These devices get stuck on iOS 18 and are not expanded with the latest features.
