Apple Intelligence is finally available in Dutch. Starting with iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1 and macOS 26.1, users in the Netherlands and Belgium can benefit from Apple’s artificial intelligence – the smart and personal AI that was introduced in the US a year ago.
With this update, features such as writing assistance, Image playground, Genmoji, rewritten emails, summaries, contextual Siri responses and personal assistance are now fully supported in Dutch. It marks an important step for Apple in the world of generative AI, which makes the power of language and context even better suited to every user.
Apple Intelligence in Dutch
Apple’s artificial intelligence is finally here available in Dutch. Starting with iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1 and macOS 26.1, users in the Netherlands and Belgium can benefit from Apple Intelligence – the smart and personal AI features are automatically activated when you update your iPhone, iPad or Mac to the new software updates.
With the addition of the Dutch language, Apple Intelligence is now accessible to all users in the Netherlands and Belgium. Previously it was possible to use Apple’s artificial intelligence in English or other supported languages, but the addition of the Dutch language ensures that English and Dutch are no longer used interchangeably, improving the user experience.
AI part of the software
Apple Intelligence is deeply integrated into Apple’s software and appears in various places within iOS, iPadOS and macOS. It is not a separate app, but an underlying technology that ensures an optimal and seamless user experience. Apple uses this intelligence to make tasks smarter, faster, and more personalized, like smart search, contextual suggestions, and automations that work in the background.
Because Apple Intelligence is so woven into the system, the user does not need to install or open additional apps to benefit from it.
