Apple Intelligence is now officially available in Dutch. Users who have updated their device to iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1 or macOS 26.1 can now take advantage of the new AI features, fully integrated into their Apple products.
To use Apple Intelligence, you need an iPhone, iPad or Mac that supports Apple’s artificial intelligence. Click here to check if your devices are suitable. We also explain how you can activate and use Apple Intelligence.
Activate Apple Intelligence
Automatically enabled, but please be patient
Becoming Apple’s AI tools automatically switched on after installing the aforementioned updates. They work seamlessly in popular apps such as Mail, Messages, Notes and Safari, supporting rewriting texts, summarizing messages and providing contextual suggestions.
Because Apple Intelligence is on the background is installed, it may take several hours for all features to be fully visible and usable. Apple therefore recommends the first hours after the update please be patient to have.

- Navigate to ‘Apple Intelligence & Siri’
- Disable AI if desired
- If necessary, connect ChatGPT via ‘Extensions’
