A new update is coming to your iPhone, because Apple is working on iOS 17.1.2. The update contains important bug fixes, we’ll tell you what will change!
iOS 17.1.2 is coming
You can expect another update for your iPhone soon, because Apple is working on iOS 17.1.2. This is a minor update that mainly resolves problems in iOS 17. This is not the first time that Apple has released an interim update for iOS 17, because iOS 17.1.1 was released two weeks ago. This software version resolved problems with Apple Pay and the Weather app.

After installing iOS 17.1, Apple Pay was unavailable in some cases. The Weather app did not display snow properly on the lock screen widget. iOS 17.1.1 resolved these issues, but unfortunately that did not mean the end of all bugs in iOS 17. Many iPhone users are still complaining about internet problems, which is why Apple is now working on iOS 17.1.2.
Internet problems in iOS 17
iOS 17.1 is reportedly causing major problems with iPhones’ internet connection. Users have poorer mobile coverage and connection problems with WiFi. As a result, the internet often works slowly on iPhones running iOS 17.1. This bug has already been fixed in the test version of iOS 17.2, but not yet in iOS 17.1.1. It is therefore expected that Apple will solve this problem with iOS 17.1.2.
That’s not the only bug being fixed in iOS 17.1.2, as users are also reportedly experiencing issues related to notifications and Apple’s HomeKit. With the latter, the automations no longer work since installing iOS 17. In addition, in some cases no sound is produced when receiving a notification. These issues may also be resolved in iOS 17.1.2.
This is when iOS 17.1.2 will appear
It is not yet certain when iOS 17.1.2 will be released, but it is likely that you will be able to update your iPhone next week. In any case, we don’t have to expect the update this week, because many Apple employees have the whole week off to celebrate Thanksgiving. Apple launched iOS 16.1.2 on November 30 last year, so it’s quite possible we’ll see iOS 17.1.2 around the same date.

iOS 17.1.2 does not bring any new features to your iPhone, but Apple does solve a number of annoying problems. We have to wait until December for new features, when iOS 17.2 will be released. With this update, your iPhone gets a completely new app, Apple Music is expanded and the action button of the iPhone 15 gets an additional function. Read here what changes with iOS 17.2!
