Apple releases a new Vision Pro with a much faster chip

Although the first version of the Vision Pro was never released in the Netherlands, Apple has now released a new version of the headset.

Apple releases new Vision Pro

Apple has introduced a new Apple Vision Pro that runs on the M5 chip. This should, among other things, provide better performance, an improved display and a longer battery life. This is a big step forward, because the first version of the Vision Pro revolves around the M2 chip. The M5 chip ensures a faster and smoother experience, and offers support for ray tracing and mesh shading. This means developers can add special details to lighting, shadows and reflections in games.

A new Dual Knit Band

The new Vision Pro features the soft, padded Dual Knit Band, for a more comfortable fit. This helps Apple resolve a common complaint about the first version. The Dual Knit Band has upper and lower bands that are 3D knitted in one piece. The resulting rib structure provides cushioning, breathability and stretch. Users can make fine adjustments to achieve the ideal fit. The new Dual Knit Band is available in sizes small, medium and large, and is also compatible with the previous generation Apple Vision Pro.

  • 512GB: $3699.
