It seems that the Apple Watch with 4G support is finally coming to the Netherlands. This is revealed by Apple itself via a support article on their website.
Read on after the ad.
Reference on the Apple website
The reference to the arrival of the Apple Watch with 4G (Cellular) in the Netherlands can be found on Apple’s website. In a Apple support article a remarkable new link has appeared on how to set up a mobile connection with an Apple Watch with 4G.
This link points to a regional Dutch page about the Apple Watch with 4G, which is not yet online. Before the last update of the article (July 19, 2021), the link still referred to the international (US) version of the same page. Here came iPhoned behind through a archived version from the support article on Internet Archive Wayback Machine.
What it means
By itself, the new link may not seem that special, because it could also be an error on the part of Apple. However, it is striking for a few reasons. For example, besides the new link, the article has hardly been adjusted. Adding the link to the Dutch page therefore seems intentional.
In addition, the same support article can be found in translated form on various regional versions of the Apple website. In countries where the Apple Watch with 4G is available, for example in France or Germany, the link in question always refers to a special regional page about the Apple Watch with 4G.
In countries where this model is not available, such as Ireland or Latvia, the link always points to the international version of the page. This was previously also the case in the Netherlands.
Apple Watch with 4G in the Netherlands: when?
By adding the link to a special Dutch page, the arrival of the Apple Watch with 4G in the Netherlands seems imminent. We expect to know more after the annual September event, where we are already counting on the Apple Watch Series 7. Until then, we list our expectations for the Watch Series 7.
