It seems that Apple will end support for the Apple Watch Series 3 this year. And after almost five years, that’s a good thing.
Apple discontinues Apple Watch Series 3
It has been coming for a while, but now Mark Gurman also believes that Apple will stop support for the Apple Watch Series 3 this year. The Apple Watch Series 3 was available in the Netherlands from September 22, 2017. After almost five years, the cake is now really finished.
Disappointments after WatchOS 8
Maybe it’s a good thing that Apple is finally pulling the plug on the Apple Watch Series 3. Although this old-timer also received the latest version of the Apple Watch operating system (WatchOS 8), there were still many disappointments to be heard. Many of the new watch faces were not found on the Apple Watch Series 3, and not all functions were supported by the smartwatch.
It is not yet known when Apple plans to end support. Apple is likely to discontinue it after the release of the Apple Watch Series 8 later this year. WatchOS 9 is probably the last version of the operating system that the Series 3 will get.
