Surprise! Apple kicks off the first Apple event of 2021 with a brand new iPhone color. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available in purple from Friday.

Apple unveiled a purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini during the keynote. Apple CEO Tim Cook presented the new color personally.

The ‘iPhone 12 Purple’ can be ordered from next Friday in the Netherlands. The first copies will be delivered on April 30. It is unclear how large the stock is, but with the iPhone 12 the delivery time quickly increased with certain colors. It could therefore just be that the purple iPhone 12 will take longer after Friday than April 30.

List price unchanged

The suggested retail price of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will remain unchanged, as will the available storage capacities. That will only change when the iPhone 13 appears in the fall.

The iPhone 12 purple adds itself to the list with the colors green, black, blue, white and red. It is not the first time that Apple releases a new color for the iPhone later in the year. For example, the iPhone 8 at the time also got a red variant after a few months.
