Apple is likely to present a series of new products on September 9, including the brand new iPhone 16 series. There will also reportedly be new Apple Watches. These are the Apple Watch X, but there will also be a successor to the Watch SE and an expanded Watch Ultra 3.
This means that Apple will stop producing the Apple Watches that were presented in 2023. Stocks from online stores are still being used up and prices are much lower than at the introduction.

Save on the Apple Watch Series 9
With the Watch 9, Apple introduced all sorts of cool features last year. If you have your hands full, you can still operate your smartwatch with the Double Tap gesture. By tapping your thumb and index finger together twice, you can, for example, pick up your phone.
It is also equipped with an Ultra Wideband 2 chip, which makes Find My even more accurate. Instead of a global location, you get specific directions for the direction you need to go to find your device again. It was given a suggested retail price of 449 euros for the smallest version (41mm) and without mobile internet. That price has dropped considerably, because in the meantime you pay 389 euros at Amazon.
Prefer the model with the 45 millimeter case? It cost 479 euros at the introduction, but is now also the cheapest via Amazon. You pay 419 euros here for the smart watch.

Apple Watch Series 9 + Cellular with eSIM
Choose the Apple Watch Series 9 with Cellular and you won’t need to take your iPhone with you. The Watch uses an eSIM to connect to mobile internet. This version had a suggested retail price of 569 euros when it was introduced, but you can now get it for 449 euros at Amazon.

An eSim in your Apple Watch works by means of Multisim. This is available with your subscription from KPN, Vodafone or Odido for 5 euros extra per month. You then use your data from the same bundle as for your iPhone. Normally the Apple Watch is available from your provider, but only Vodafone currently has it. You are then dependent on the 45 millimeter variant, which you can get for 552 euros.
Get the Apple Watch SE 2022 at a great price
The SE 2022 is the most affordable Apple Watch and has the key features of the Watch 8. It has the same powerful chip and is packed with health sensors, so you know exactly how fast (or slow) your heart is beating and how you slept. It also has crash detection, but hopefully you’ll never need it.
It had a suggested retail price of 279 euros, but you can now get it for 244.95 euros at Belsimpel. Are you looking for the Apple Watch SE with a 44 millimeter case? Then you no longer pay 309 euros, but 249.95 euros at iBood.
Apple Watch SE 2022 + Cellular with eSim
If you want the Watch SE with mobile internet, then choose the variant with Cellular. You could get that last year from 329 euros, but that amount is now lower. At Coolblue you pay 299 euros and you will receive the 40 millimeter model. Prefer the 44 millimeter variant? Then you pay 329 euros at the same blue webshop.

It is also possible to buy the Watch from your provider. It is available from KPN, Odido and Vodafone. The cheapest of these is Odido, where you can score it from 300 euros. The other two sell it from 312 euros. For 5 euros extra per month you can then use the same subscription as you use for your iPhone.

Get the Apple Watch Ultra 2 for 131 euros less
Then the most advanced Apple Watch: the Ultra 2. This is the right choice for you if you like to be outside and enjoy extreme sports. It can take a beating thanks to the titanium casing and a layer of sapphire glass. The battery also lasts a long time, up to 72 hours. It is equipped with Cellular as standard, so you are not dependent on your iPhone. At Apple you can buy it for 899 euros, but it is now cheapest at KPN for 768 euros.
However, it is also available at Odido and Vodafone, where you pay 780 euros and 840 euros for the Watch respectively. Would you rather not buy from your provider? Then you should go to Belsimpel. Then you pay 809.95 euros.
