Next month, we won’t just see the iPhone 16, Apple will announce no less than three new Apple Watches. The Apple Watch SE 2024, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 10 will be released then. 1. Larger display

Apple is changing the size of the Apple Watch for the first time in years. The screen of the smartwatch is getting a lot bigger, you can choose between 45 and 49 millimeters for the Apple Watch Series 10. With the Apple Watch Series 9 (and earlier) you could choose between 41 or 45 millimeters. The regular Apple Watch will soon be the same size as the Apple Watch Ultra (2), which already has a 49 millimeter screen.

2. Thinner housing

In addition to the larger screen, Apple is making more changes to the design, because the Apple Watch Series 10 will be much thinner. It is not yet clear how thin the new smartwatch will be exactly. Apple has opted for a slimmer design, to prevent the Apple Watch from becoming a bulky device with the larger display. With the current thickness of the Apple Watch Series 9, that would be the case.

3. More powerful chip

It is certain that the Apple Watch Series 10 will get a new chip, most likely the watch will run on the S10 chip. There is a good chance that it will be a powerful processor, which should ensure that the new generation of the Apple Watch will receive support for Apple Intelligence. The current Apple Watches do not have that, so it is quite possible that the Apple Watch Series 10 will at least be expanded with a number of AI functions.

4. New health features

The Apple Watch Series 10 will be equipped with new health functions. According to rumors, the smartwatch can detect sleep apnea and recognize high blood pressure. With watchOS 11, Apple seems to be preparing the new functions, because after the update, the Vitals app will be on your Apple Watch. 5. Improved OLED display

Apple introduces an improved OLED display with the Apple Watch Series 10, which features LTPO (low temperature polycrystalline oxide). The new technology improves the quality of the screen without compromising the battery. With the Apple Watch Series 10, there is probably less room for the battery due to the thinner casing. The new screen should ensure that the battery life does not deteriorate.

Release of the Apple Watch Series 10

We don’t have to wait much longer for the Apple Watch Series 10, because Apple will announce the smartwatch next month. The new generation of the Apple Watch is expected to be released on Tuesday September 10th will be unveiled. That evening, the iPhone 16, Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Ultra 3 will also be released.
