Apple will release three new AirPods in 2024
In 2023, Apple showed off a new version of the AirPods Pro 2. But the update was small and the only difference was a USB-C connection for the charging case. However, if we can believe the rumors, 2024 will be a lot better and you can even expect three new AirPods.
AirPods 2024
First, according to rumors, a new version of the standard AirPods will be released. It is particularly striking that Apple has two versions of the AirPods 4 in mind. According to usually reliable Apple expert Mark Gurman, the AirPods 4 will also have a new design. This new look looks a bit like a cross between the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro 2.
Both versions of the new AirPods that will be released in 2024 will have a new charging case. This box has a USB-C connection and a speaker. Handy for finding the charging case when you don’t remember where you left it.
There will also be some differences between the two versions of the AirPods 4. There will be a cheap and a more expensive version. The more expensive version of the AirPods 4 is rumored to have active noise cancellation, which the cheaper version does not have. It is not yet known what the differences are with the noise cancellation of the current AirPods Pro.
AirPods Max 2
In addition, a new version of the AirPods Max will also be released. Unfortunately, it won’t be the big update we’ve been waiting for for some time. There will be new colors for the new AirPods Max in 2024 and the headphones will have a USB-C connection. But otherwise everything remains the same according to the rumors.
And the new AirPods Pro?
It looks like you shouldn’t expect new AirPods Pro in 2024. That update will probably not come until 2025. It is not yet known what exactly will change, but the first rumors expect a new chip and a new design.
