Hello!, nice question.
The answer may disappoint you. We don’t actually know! Several thousand cave paintings are currently known, but firstly new ones are discovered every year and secondly many paintings have also perished between the time of origin (about 30,000 years ago) and now. Weather conditions, incidence of light, … have erased a lot. There would have been even outside the caves. I’ll give you a nice link to research by Paul Bahn. Maybe your parents can help you with English?

Importantly, we still can’t fully understand the whole cave painting phenomenon because we don’t know how many of them were correct and where they were all made.
