Last weekend the Circuit of the Americas in Austin hosted the third round of the MotoGP. Reason for Aprilia to present two unique models there: the RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK, in celebration of the very first victory in the WorldSBK in 2009.
It is not entirely clear to us what the link is between Aprilia’s very first victory in the WorldSBK and COTA, but Aprilia must have had a good reason to celebrate the joyful fact that Max Biaggi won in Texas on July 26 2009 Aprilia took its first ever victory in the WorldSBSK, making history exactly 15 years ago in 3 months and eleven days.
Biaggi’s victory was the start of a very impressive story, which saw no fewer than 7 world titles, three drivers and 4 constructors, with a total of 44 victories and 102 podiums achieved.
To celebrate that historic day, Aprilia has now brought back the iconic color scheme that has symbolized the RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory to its crown jewels of the line-up. The special SE-09 SBK versions are equipped with carbon airducts at the brakes and a carbon front fender, while a progressive number is applied to the tank.
The Aprilia RSV4 Factory SE-09 SBK is available for €28,999 and the Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK for €22,699. Both models will be available from selected Aprilia dealers from June.
