Arcfox presents promising Alpha-T

The Chinese Arcfox, of which we previously saw a hypercar and an SUV with the name ECF, once again presents an electric high-legged with the Alpha-T. It especially impresses with its reach.

Arcfox speaks of a range of more than 650 km, although under the quite forgiving NEDC cycle. That the car comes this far, is again due to a battery pack that is quite adequate with 93.6 kWh. With 218 hp, the Alpha-T is not overly powerful for a modern EV, but it is adequately motorized. In addition, the power seems to come from two electric motors, which means that the wonderfully named EV has four-wheel drive.

The seemingly fairly compact SUV looks mature, with a smooth, sleek body and a somewhat remarkable nose. Nor is the interior an uninspired whole. A digital instrumentation is assisted by a central screen that extends right in front of the passenger seat. Underneath is a touchscreen, which also seems to be quite large. Other features include a split armrest, a round button for the direction of travel, a two-spoke steering wheel and fused-together vents.

Although the information provision is still quite limited, it seems that the car of BAIC subsidiary Arcfox should cost around 36,000 euros. For an electric SUV with a serious range, that is downright a bargain, although it is of course still questionable whether and when this car will appear on European roads.
