At least European Toyota factories will be closed until April 20

Earlier this month, Toyota reported that it will be closing its European production sites from March 18 to prevent further spread of the coronavirus. It is now also known when European factories will open their gates again.

Automotive News reports indicate that Toyota plans to resume production facilities in Europe on Monday, April 20. Please note, this is, according to Toyota, subject to change and therefore entirely dependent on developments.

The factories in France, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal and Turkey, among others, will therefore keep their gates closed for the time being. Toyota has a factory in Saint Petersburg, Russia, where Toyota produces the RAV4 and the Camry, among others, will close its doors today and reopen them according to current planning next week.
