Audi A3

The recently updated Audi A3 gets a new entry-level model. Just like before the facelift, it is again called 30 TFSI, but in addition to an extra cylinder pot it also offers more power.

The Audi A3 returned from the cutting table in March this year not only with a new snout, but also with new technology. During the refinement, Audi referred the 1.0 three-cylinder to the trash bin. The updated Audi A3 has been on the price list for a while, but to date the A3 adventure started with the 35 TFSI with 150 hp 1.5 four-cylinder. Before the facelift, there was a 110 hp 30 TFSI with a 1.0 three-cylinder engine underneath. That engine will not return, but the 30 TFSI designation will!

However, from now on the Audi A3 30 TFSI no longer has a 110 hp 1.0, but a 116 hp 1.5. Indeed, a four-cylinder machine. That power source can be linked to a six-speed manual gearbox. Would you prefer an S Tronic automatic? Also possible. Then you also immediately get a mild-hybrid variant of the 116 hp petrol engine.

The Audi A3 Sportback 30 TFSI is available from €38,552. That amount is for the A3 Sportback with a six-speed manual transmission. The Audi A3 Limousine is only available with an automatic transmission and therefore always has the mild-hybrid 1.5. It is available from €39,302. These amounts apply to the entry-level version called Pro Line. It offers alloy, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, automatic climate control and fairly extensive parking assistance. They are also available as an Advanced Edition and as an S Edition.

More price-technical A3 news? Do we have. For example, the aforementioned Audi A3 35 TFSI – with a 150 hp 1.5 – is now also available with a manual gearbox. The A3 Sportback is available with that engine from €43,452.
