Audi comes with three more plug-in hybrids

Audi will supplement its range in the coming months with another three new plug-in hybrids. The total then comes to eight models.

Plug-in hybrids are strongly on the rise with various manufacturers. This is also the case with Audi. The current range is five PHEVs rich, because the Audi A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7 can be partially electrically powered if desired. If we take the A6, then there is a choice of the 50 TFSI-e and 55 TFSI-e with outputs of between 299 and 367 hp. Without using a drop of gasoline, these versions get just over 50 electric kilometers. The largest model in the range, the Q7, customers can also choose from two plug-in hybrid versions: the 55 and 60 TFSI-e.

However, Audi is not yet finished with the partly electric powertrain. The manufacturer reports that it will equip three more models with plug-in hybrid powertrains within a few months. It is guesswork which types that will be, but a very logical candidate is in any case the Audi A3. In all likelihood, it will soon become acquainted with the same technology as that already available in the Golf, Leon and Octavia. In addition, the Q3 and Q8 have a great chance. The range will then eventually have eight PHEVs.
