Audi E-tron GT already on display

The Audi E-tron GT will not be unveiled until next week, but it seems someone in his enthusiasm couldn’t keep the photos to himself. The all-electric GT is already on display.

It is not entirely clear where the photos come from. We thank CocheSpias at least for sharing it, because that gives us a first look at the stunner from Ingolstadt. The production version of the E-tron GT, which shares its technical base with the Porsche Taycan, has clearly remained faithful to the concept version. Anyone who concealed the special camouflage print of the prototype shown at the end of 2020 already had the car in mind. A good thing, because it would probably have been more of a disappointment if that design had been thoroughly overhauled.

The sleek four-door is probably visible here in basic trim. After all, the ‘license plate’ only shows the model name, but we know that there will also be an RS version. Audi already released some details of this in November. The RS E-tron GT gets 598 electric horsepower to go wild, with boost even temporarily 646 horsepower. The standard torque then shoots up to 830 Nm. Enough to shoot to 100 km / h in ‘less than 3.5 seconds’. So Taycan Turbo material. The battery pack has a net capacity of 83.7 kWh and you can pump 100 km of driving range in 5 minutes. According to Audi, a range of ‘more than 400 km’ should be possible.

Audi E-tron GT leaked

The white E-tron GT shown here is probably a ‘non-RS’ and we are currently still in the dark about that. Presumably, the lower in the range variant in terms of power around or a little under 500 hp, provided it also has two electric motors on board. After all, Porsche cousin Taycan was recently fitted with a rear-wheel drive entry-level version with only a motor on the rear axle, so it is possible that it is all a bit more modest. Next Tuesday we will know, because then Audi will unveil the E-tron GT itself.
