Audi Q6 e-tron from all angles

At the end of next year, Audi will present its first electric car on the PPE platform developed together with Porsche: the Q6 e-tron. That car is in a dark corner on the show floor of the Shanghai Motor Show, but these patent plates allow a better view of Audi’s new electric SUV.

Although Audi in Shanghai presented the A6 e-tron Concept on the new PPE platform with a lot of fanfare, it will not be the first ‘PPE-Audi’ that you will soon be able to buy. The A6 e-tron is on the roll for 2023 and Ingolstadt will pull the curtain off the Q6 e-tron at the end of 2022. Indeed, a new electric SUV. The Q6 e-tron is on the exhibition floor in Shanghai in a sleek and busy colored sticker sheet. From the database of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) we have drawn patent drawings that show the Q6 e-tron better.

The Q6 e-tron, just like the Q4’s e-tron, has a front with a black ‘mask’ that wraps around the grille and extends into the headlights. Just like with the Q4s, there is something special going on with that lighting. The flat top part of it houses the LED daytime running lights, which, like the Q4s, will undoubtedly have different adjustable signatures. Under the daytime running lights are the actual LED headlights, which dive further down on the Q6 e-tron than on the Q4’s e-tron. The Q6 e-tron has flat LED lighting at the back that is optically linked by an LED strip. In any case, the lighting seems more production ready than that of the A6 e-tron Concept.
