Just wait…
The Audi A3 is awaiting a facelift, but they are not really in a hurry in Ingolstadt. Once again the A3 appears in a facelifted form as the S3 and RS3, but still with a nice layer of stickers on it.
We have to go back to July this year for the last sign of life of the facelifted Audi A3. It then surfaced as RS3 Sportback. Much earlier, in January, we last saw the updated Audi S3. The top and sub-top versions of the Audi A3 are so far the only signs we have had of an impending facelift for the Audi A3. Now the two appear again, this time together and as Limousine, but unfortunately they are still quite enthusiastically in the stickers.
Both the RS3 Limousine (photo above) photographed on the Nordschleife and the S3 still have their bumpers stuck closed at the front and rear. So expect a changed layout, which is already quite visible despite the concealing stuff. We also see that the openings have been filled in slightly differently, with diamond-shaped meshwork on the RS3 and on the S3 the traditional honeycomb structure is done away with. The light units of both versions are also partly covered, although we can already see that there is a slightly different light signature. The biggest change that will logically be implemented A3-wide is that the slot between the hood and the grille will disappear.
We don’t expect the facelifted Audi A3 and this S3 and RS3 until the new year. In addition to the sporty stunners, the 30 TFSI and 35 TFSI and undoubtedly also (with the Sportback) the plug-in hybrid 40 TFSI e and 45 TFSI e are back.
