Facelifted Audi RS Q8 on the ‘Ring
Is the Lamborghini Urus price-wise outside your budget? Then you can always consider shopping at Audi for the Q8, which is based on the same last as that Italian super-SUV. The Audi Q8 is available as a 600 hp RS Q8 and it is that car that will soon be updated.
The Audi Q8 family is a special one. It consists of the Audi Q8 with combustion engines, but also of the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback, electric SUVs that have nothing to do with the other Q8s besides their name. The Audi Q8 will be renewed in the foreseeable future and that also means that the absolute top version of the model – the RS Q8 – will be refreshed. The renewed Audi RS Q8 can be seen for the first time in this set of photos.
The Audi RS Q8 as you know it now has, just like the RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback, an executioner of a 4.0 V8 under the hood. That eight-cylinder generates 600 hp and 800 Nm thanks to two turbos and a touch of mild hybrid technology. This means that it is of course not as powerful as the now 666 hp strong Lamborghini Urus, but the RS Q8 is just as fast. In just 3.8 seconds, the colossus stomps from a standstill to a speed of 100 km / h and in less than 14 seconds you ram over the asphalt at a speed of 200 km / h. It is not inconceivable that the RS Q8 will improve slightly in terms of power after its side session, but there will always be a gap to its Italian, significantly more expensive cousin. The RS Q8 gets new bumpers and subtly changed lighting at the front and rear. You can also count on adjustments to the interior, especially in the field of infotainment.
It won’t be long before Audi presents the updated Q8. The model can no longer be found in the Dutch configurator, which seems to indicate that the facelifted Audi Q8 will soon be available.
