Automatically make phone calls via Bluetooth headset or iPhone speaker

On an iPhone, it is possible to switch to the iPhone’s speakers or a paired Bluetooth headset after answering a phone call. This means you don’t have to hold the phone to your ear to have a conversation.

It is even possible to automatically answer a call and immediately activate a desired audio output. Ideal if you are forced to make calls via the speaker or if you always want to make a phone call via your hearing aid, for example.

Always conduct telephone calls via speakerphone

  • Open Settings
  • Navigate to ‘Accessibility’
  • Tap ‘Touch’
  • Open the ‘Audio path conversations’ option

Then enable the option ‘speaker’ here. When you now accept a phone call, the call will always go through the iPhone speaker. Via this menu you also have the option to always have calls with a paired Bluetooth headset.

Automatically Answer iPhone Calls

Via Settings â–¸ Accessibility â–¸ Touch â–¸ Call audio path â–¸ Auto answer, you can even answer phone calls automatically. Enable the option and choose a desired time. Once this has elapsed, the call will be automatically recorded.

Turn off speaker

If you don’t want to have the call via the speaker or headset, tap the audio button during the call and choose an option you prefer. Select ‘iPhone’ if you want to have the call by your ear. The above settings work for all calls, including FaceTime audio calls or the calling function of other apps such as WhatsApp.
