Did you know that you can chat with chatgpt directly from WhatsApp? In this way you can easily ask your questions to the AI tool, without having to install a separate app or use an account.
Although it is a stripped version of Chatgpt, you can still ask the AI many different (basic) questions. In addition, you can also have images generated via the Chat of OpenAi. In the conversation you can easily indicate which image you want to have made, after which you can share it directly via WhatsApp or use it in other apps.
Use chatgpt in WhatsApp
Before you can use chatgpt in WhatsApp you must add the chatgpt as whatsapp contact. You can choose to place the service in your contact list, but you can also immediately search for the AI-Chattool.
Add chatgpt to WhatsApp
- Open WhatsApp
- Go to the ‘Chats’ tab
- Tap the plus button
- Enter the telephone number of Chatgpt: 18002428478
- Tap ‘chat’ at Chatgpt
Ask your first question to keep the chat between your recent conversations. Of course you can also add chatgpt as whatsapp contact so that you can always consult it, even if you have erased the conversation.
Available in Dutch
Chatgpt is available in Dutch, also via WhatsApp. Although the conversation will start with some English example, it is simply possible to ask questions and chat with the AI tool in Dutch.
Text, speech and images

- Send speech messages: Leave your question and Chatgpt sends a text answer back.
- Send photos and let images generate: You can upload photos to which chatgpt responds. This way you can ask what kind of plant you have in front of you by sending a photo. In addition, you can also ask the AI tool to generate an image.
Limits
Chatgpt for WhatsApp naturally has some limitations and is primarily intended to occasionally use. Some functions, such as personalized answers or uploading other file types than images, are only available if you log in via the official chatgpt app or website.
In addition, there is a daily use limit for the number of messages you can send to Chatgpt via WhatsApp. You will receive a notification if you approach this limit. The service cannot yet be added to group discussions.
