AVM FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable brings Wi-Fi 7 and Zigbee to cable connections

AVM announced the new FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable at the ANGA COM broadband trade fair in Cologne. Other recently announced products such as the powerful tri-band FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro for fiber optics and DSL, the 10 gigabit/s fast FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS for fiber optics and the FRITZ!Smart Gateway integrated with Zigbee will also be on display. All of these models support Wi-Fi 7, the next generation in Wi-Fi.

FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable brings Wi-Fi 7 and Zigbee to cable connections
The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable celebrates its premiere at the trade fair in Cologne. It is a future-proof all-in-one router that allows users to take full advantage of the high speeds of cable connections. The fast FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable brings the new wireless standard Wi-Fi 7 to cable connections and provides powerful Wi-Fi. The 2.5 gigabit LAN port and four LAN ports also ensure fast data distribution in the home network. In addition, the new FRITZ!Box Cable contains innovative Mesh WiFi functions, a telephone system and DECT base station for Smart Home applications and cordless telephones. In addition to the DECT ULE standard, the new FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable supports the Zigbee Smart Home standard, which means that more devices can be integrated and controlled in the Smart Home. In addition, it has a built-in TV tuner that streams television signals in the home network via WiFi. The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable, in a white, flat design, will be demonstrated live on the stand next to the cable’s flagship product, the FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable.

The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro: for fiber optics and DSL with tri-band mesh and Wi-Fi 7
The new FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro for high performance directly at the connection can be used on both fiber optic and DSL connections. This combination enables fast and future-proof internet access and offers flexibility for regions where fiber has yet to be rolled out. In addition, the new device offers very powerful tri-band Mesh including 6 GHz, the new third Wi-Fi frequency band. The new FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro supports both the current Wi-Fi 6 wireless standard and Wi-Fi 7 and is ready for the smart home of the future. In addition to DECT ULE, it also has the Zigbee wireless standard on board and is ready for Matter integration.

FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS: The power package for fiber optics with up to 10 gigabits/s
The ultra-fast FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS is a real powerhouse, achieving speeds of up to 10 gigabits/s in fiber optic networks with the XGS-PON standard. With powerful Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6, a 10 Gigabit WAN/LAN port and the full range of telephony, Smart Home and networking features, it is the fiber gateway for all digital home applications. In addition to DECT ULE, it also supports Zigbee and is compatible with the Matter standard.

FRITZ!Smart Gateway: Integrate more smart devices and LED lights into the smart home
This year, AVM has added Zigbee wireless technology to the FRITZ! smart home. In addition to DECT ULE, devices with Zigbee can now also be connected directly to the FRITZ!Box. The first products to support both Zigbee and DECT are the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, the FRITZ!Box 5690 XGS, the FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable and the FRITZ!Smart Gateway. This plug-in gateway combines DECT and Zigbee in one device and extends the FRITZ! Smart Home with a number of new applications. The smart gateway also makes existing FRITZ!Box models Zigbee-compatible.
