Secure WhatsApp chat history with an automatic backup. All messages and media are then securely stored online.
Backup WhatsApp Conversations
WhatsApp users can save the messages and media files (think photos). This means you can always access the chat history again. Even if the phone is lost, reset or replaced. When installing WhatApp, the old chat history must be restored. Users can make a backup themselves every now and then. But it is easier to set WhatsApp to do this automatically on a regular basis.
Backup WhatsApp (iOS)
A backup is also called a backup. This is stored in iCloud. Make a backup like this:
- Open the WhatsApp app.
- Tap on Institutions.
- Tap on chats.
- Tap on Backup chats.
- In the Chat Backup screen, tap auto. backup.
- Tap the desired frequency, for example Daily.
- Go back in the menu by tapping the arrow at the top left.
From now on, WhatsApp will automatically make the backup at the set time. Do you want to make a backup immediately? In the Chat Backup screen, tap Back up now. The system starts working immediately. Restore a backup copy to the phone.
Backup WhatsApp (Android)
Save a WhatsApp backup to Google Drive like this:
- Open the WhatsApp app.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Tap on Institutions.
- Tap on chats.
- Tap on Chat backup.
- Under ‘Google Drive Settings’, tap Backup to Google Drive.
- Tap the desired frequency of the backup, for example Daily.
- Under ‘Backup via’, indicate whether backups may only be made via Wi-Fi, or also via the mobile network.
From now on, WhatsApp will automatically make the backup at the set time. Do you want to make a backup immediately? In the ‘Chat backup’ window, tap Backup. The system starts working immediately. Restore a backup copy to the phone.
