The international delivery range of the Bentley Bentayga, which was renewed in the middle of last year, has a new variant. Bentley digitally presents the new Bentayga Hybrid to the world, a plug-in hybrid with an electric range of 50 kilometers.
Bentley gave the Bentayga a fairly radical facelift last year. The car got a thoroughly revised muzzle, but the completely new rear with its Continental-like light clusters is the real eye-catcher of the SUV. Shortly after the introduction of the Bentayga with 550 hp V8 as power plant, Bentley lifted the mighty Bentayga Speed with 635 hp 6.0 W12 to the podium. On the other side of the power center is this paper most efficient variant of Bentley’s SUV: the Bentayga Hybrid.
The Bentayga Hybrid is not a regular hybrid as its name might suggest, but a plug-in hybrid. Its powertrain is virtually identical to that of the Bentayga Hybrid prior to last year’s at-point session. This means, among other things, that the renewed Bentayga Hybrid has a 3.0-liter large V6 petrol engine with two turbos in its high nose, a machine that works together with a 128 hp and 350 Nm strong electric motor. The system power is 449 hp and 700 Nm. As before, the battery pack has a capacity of 17.3 kWh, large enough for an electric range of 50 kilometers. Please note that this was measured according to the poorly accurate NEDC method. The previous Bentayga Hybrid recorded a WLTP range of 38 kilometers behind its name. The charging power is 7.2 kW / h.
