Bentley is adding a performance to the line-up of its relatively popular Bentayga. The Bentley Bentayga S looks sporty, but does not have a W12.
The Bentley Bentayga S is the version for those who want a slightly more sports-oriented super-SUV, but without the even more spicy price tag of the Speed version. According to Bentley, there is a demand for a ‘more dynamic Bentayga’ and that question is answered by providing the S with a sharpened chassis.
For example, the car gets Bentley Dynamic Ride active roll stabilization and the damping of the air suspension is 15 percent stiffer. Especially in the adapted Sport mode developed for this car, the car now has to steer more tightly and lean less. The black, oval exhaust tips are linked to a unique sports exhaust system and therefore actually produce a slightly different sound than a regular Bentayga V8.
Because yes, the Bentayga S is ‘just’ a Bentayga V8, which with an unchanged 550 hp and 770 Nm blasts from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. Not exactly make do, but the Speed is still ahead of this variant with its 635 hp strong W12.
In addition to the chassis adjustments, there are of course the necessary appearance. The S can be recognized by bumpers that have been extended a little further down, a large roof spoiler and dark-tinted light units. There is also the so-called ‘Blackline Specification’, although those black accents are also available for other versions. Unique again are the S badges on the front doors and the unique 22-inch wheels.
