Block someone in WhatsApp

Are you receiving unwanted messages via WhatsApp? For example, from someone you no longer want to contact? Then block this person’s phone number. You will then no longer receive apps and he/she can no longer call you via WhatsApp. By the way, the block only applies to WhatsApp. The blocked person can still text or call you. Don’t want this? Then block the phone number in its entirety.

How to block a phone number on an iPhone in WhatsApp:

• Open the app whatsapp.
• Tap on Institutions.
• Tap on Account.
• Tap on Privacy.
• Tap on Blocked.
• Tap on add.
• An overview of contacts opens. Tap the contact you want to block.

The person is now blocked. Return to the menu: tap at the top left Privacy.

Block a number on an Android device in WhatsApp like this:

• Open the app whatsapp.
• Tap the icon with three dots in the top right .
• Tap on Institutions.
• Tap on Account.
• Tap on Privacy.
• Tap on Blocked contacts.
• Tap the plus sign icon at the top right .
• An overview of contacts opens. Tap the contact you want to block.

The person is now blocked. Return to the menu by tapping the arrow in the top left four times.
