BMW 4 Series Convertible already visible from all angles

Thanks to a number of leaked patent drawings, the new BMW 4 Series Convertible can already be seen from all sides. On the one hand, it partly harks back to the past, on the other, it offers a completely different look.

In China they should pay more attention to the protection of patents (or rather not actually), because for the umpteenth time images of a car to be revealed have been leaked. They have been intercepted, it seems, by the Greek website Autoblog.gr. Of course we don’t mind, because it provides a nice look at the yet to be revealed BMW 4-series Convertible. This time without any camouflage.

Of course, the open variant of the 4-series was created on the same drawing board as the Coupé, with the result that the special grille is also introduced here. Not surprisingly, the front will be identical to that of the closed version. It is of course more interesting to look at novelties at the rear. It is particularly noticeable that the hip line of the car extends quite far upwards. It gives the 4 Series Convertible a pretty sturdy and quite long rear too. However, it remains elegant, partly because of the return of the fabric shade. For the first time since the E46, BMW is no longer screwing a steel folding roof on the ‘open 3-series’.

Sometime this month BMW will no longer keep the newcomer a secret and we will hear more about it. In any case, count on an almost the same range of engines as with the 4-series Coupé. An M4 Convertible is also in the offing, now with a 480 hp six-in-line in the nose. It does not stay with the Coupé and the Cabrio, because there is also a 4-series Gran Coupé on the way.
