Rollback
Striking news regarding the fully electric BMW iX. In May, BMW increased the prices of the electric SUV by up to 12 grand. Now BMW is reversing that price increase, AutoWeek can report after a dive in the price list.
The starting price of the BMW iX was increased by several thousand euros at the end of May to more than €92,000. The BMW iX xDrive50 was even about €12,000 more expensive than before. You did get more stuff for your money. For example, after the price increase, the BMW iX xDrive40 was equipped with the Essence of Excellence package as standard. The xDrive50 and M60 were now equipped with the Excellence package as standard. BMW is now lowering the prices of the iX by almost the same amounts as they were raised in May.
The price cut goes hand in hand with the reversal of a previous adjustment. You guessed it: the aforementioned Essence and Excellence packages are no longer standard. For the 326 hp BMW iX xDrive40 you now pay €85,095, more than €7,000 less than before. The iX xDrive40 has a 71 kWh battery on board from which the electric SUV squeezes up to 416 kilometers.
The 523 hp and 765 Nm strong BMW xDrive50 with 105.2 kWh battery and a range of up to 617 kilometers is now on the price list from €107,966. That is again just under €12,000 less than until recently. For the top version iX M60 with 619 hp and 1,015 Nm of M Performance power, you will now lose €136,654, more than €3,500 less than before. Like the iX xDrive50, the iX M60 has a 105.2 kWh battery, in this case good for a range of up to 561 kilometers.
