BMW comes with a rather special action model: the BMW X2 Goldplay Edition. The ‘gold’ in the name is especially telling.
The BMW X2 Goldplay is actually equipped with gold-coloured accents. This is somewhat reminiscent of the ‘gold package’ that in other times gave you gold-colored logos and nameplates on certain American and Japanese cars. In the case of the X2, the entire grille is finished in ‘gold’. BMW does not take all the chrome with it, but alternates the high-profile shade with black accents. Yet we see the ‘Galvanic Gold’ – you better give it a name – on the door mirror caps, the wheels and in the interior.

Inside, we find it, for example, in the stitching of the seat covers and on special type plates. The Goldplay Edition is based on the M Sport model variant, and is therefore standard equipped with all kinds of sporty finery for the ex- and interior. It can be ordered with all powertrains available for the X2 and in many colors. If you go ‘all-in’, choose the ‘San Remo Grün’ that is exclusively available on the Goldplay with the X2. If the gold is a bit too much of a good thing, the grille and door mirrors can also be finished in black and body color respectively.
The BMW X2 Goldplay Edition is available from €53,725. For that money is the sDrive18i ready, which otherwise as M Sport costs at least €51,825.
