Bose audio brand is of course known for its speakers and headphones and comes with a new portable speaker with the best audio in its class, at least according to Bose. The Bose SoundLink Flex comes with a new design, giving the speaker a rougher appearance and easier to carry.
Casing and design
The speaker contains a silicone back combined with the steel grille which protects the speaker when it falls. It also protects the SoundLink Flex from flaking and ensures that the speaker is resistant to corrosion and UV light. Despite the many protections of the speaker, the quality of the audio remains intact. The Flex even floats to the surface of water when dropped in the water. Thanks to the loop on the speaker, you can easily attach the speaker to your bag, for example.
The SoundLink Flex is 20.1 cm wide, 5.3 cm deep and 9.1 cm high and, thanks to the weight of less than half a kilo, it is also easy to carry in the hand.
Specifications
The new speaker has a water and dustproof IP67 rating. In addition, he has a large transducer that maximizes the clarity of the sound. This allows you to hear every voice and instrument and feel the bass.
Furthermore, the Flex speaker is equipped with double, opposite passive radiators. This converts the vibrations into the audio output of the speaker. Bose DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology minimizes the distortion of sound and music.
For the first time in a Bose bluetooth speaker, the Bose SoundLink Flex detects the position of the speaker, so it automatically adjusts to deliver pristine audio. This is thanks to Bose Position IQ technology.
Thanks to the improved Bluetooth technology, it is easy to connect this speaker with devices. The Flex remembers up to eight devices, making switching to another device faster and easier. You can also connect the Bose speaker to one or more Bose smart speakers and soundbars.
With the Bose Connect app you can personalize and control the speaker and receive software updates. Of course you can also operate the Bose SoundLink Flex using the buttons on the speaker itself. Furthermore, the Bluetooth speaker offers access to your phone’s voice assistant and you can take and make phone calls via the built-in microphone.
