British audio brand Bowers & Wilkins will launch the wireless Zeppelin on October 13. First introduced in 2007 as the ultimate iPod dock, the speaker returns in 2021 with better sound, better looks and smart features.

Bowers & Wilkins is a renowned audio brand that, in addition to speakers, also releases headphones, such as the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 ANC. As of today, the new improved version of the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin is available. This iconic 2007 ‘iPod dock’ returns with better sound, design and smart features. The wide range of streaming services in the Bowers & Wilkins Music app makes it possible to listen to your favorite music with quality sound. The speaker is available in dark and light gray and has dimmable mood lighting that creates a halo effect on the metal base.

Complete stereo system
The new Zeppelin is a complete stereo system in a single enclosure, with dedicated left and right speakers around a center, large subwoofer, all powered by 240 Watts of amplification. These premium components are mounted in an extremely rigid, FEA-optimized housing for good acoustic performance, with a minimum of material around the edges of each drive unit for optimal sound dispersion.
Zeppelin’s two decoupled double-dome tweeters, originally used in the award-winning 600 Anniversary Series, are mounted on the outer edges of the cabinet. They are completely isolated from cabinet vibrations generated by other larger driver units. This ensures a wide, spacious and very accurate sound.
The tweeters are mated to 90mm midrange drivers using Bowers & Wilkins patented FSTTM (Fixed Suspension Transducer) technology. This technology is used in all of the British brand’s high-end floorstanding loudspeakers, including the reference 800 Series Diamond, Abbey Road Studios’ favorite monitor loudspeaker.
Finally, there’s a new 150mm subwoofer to add the open, detailed and refined bass to the Zeppelin’s high-resolution system. The subwoofer is mounted in the heart and the design has been carefully optimized to avoid unwanted ‘rocking’ of the cabinet during use. This results in a purer sounding and more agile bass response.

Colors and lighting
The Zeppelin is available in two variants, a dark (midnight grey) and a light (pearl grey). The speaker also has switchable and dimmable mood lighting that creates a ‘halo’ effect on the metal base.

Streaming
If you want to stream music from your mobile device, tablet or computer, the new Zeppelin comes with both AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth. This makes it suitable for both iOS and Android users. The Bowers & Wilkins Music app gives you direct access to a large number of streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer, Last.fm, Qobuz, Soundcloud, TIDAL and TuneIn.

Connected, smart & intuitive
The speaker is designed to last. The powerful digital ‘brain’ can be upgraded over time. The multi-room function will be introduced at the beginning of 2022. This makes it possible to connect with other new Zeppelins or with Formation series devices in a multi-room environment.

Price and availability
The Zeppelin will be available October 13 in dark gray and light gray for $799 at select dealers or on the Bowers & Wilkins website. For more information, visit www.bowerswilkins.com/new-zeppelin.
