Google has announced the second-generation Pixel Stand along with the Pixel 6 series. Although the smartphones have been on sale for a while, this wireless charger was nowhere to be seen. That is now about to change because the accessory can now be ordered in the Google Store in surrounding countries.

What can you do with the Pixel Stand?
The new Pixel Stand is a bit wider than its predecessor, because it has a cooling mechanism with a fan. Wireless charging can make your smartphone warm and that should prevent that fan. There are also two qi charging points: one for your phone and one for wearables such as a pair of wireless earphones. It can charge some Pixel models at 23W and other phones and wearables at 15W and 3W respectively. Because the Pixel Stand uses the qi standard, it works with many devices that support wireless charging.
Smart Features
Of course, Google has also equipped its Pixel Stand with all kinds of smart software functions especially for Pixel phones. The charger will work the Google Assistant Spotlight feature. In addition, your phone works as a photo frame, a media player or an alarm clock with sunrise alarm. You can also easily control your smart home devices from your phone on the charger.
