BYD Song L: electric firing on Kia EV6

BYD showed an early version of the Song L at Auto Shanghai earlier this year. Unlike cars like the Seal and Dolphin, the Song L is a model of the Dynasty line and not one of the Ocean family. Does that mean that coming to Europe is out of the question? No. BYD sells models from both the Ocean and Dynasty series in Europe.

But, what is the Song L? The BYD Song L is a 4.84 meter long, 1.95 meter wide and 1.56 meter low electric crossover whose appearance is somewhat reminiscent of cars such as the Kia EV6. So a low crossover, although the BYD Song L is longer than the aforementioned Kia. The wheelbase of the BYD Song L measures 2.93 meters. The car is on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0, a modular EV base that is also used by cars such as the Dolphin and Seal. Detailed technical specifications are not yet released by BYD.
