Polestar on the water

The brand new Candela C-8 is the first fruit of the collaboration between Candela and Polestar. According to Polestar, the C-8 will probably get the 69-kWh battery pack that is also in the Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motors. You can also use an isotherm cruise 195 for better and faster charging. This should enable the Candela C-8 to achieve a cruising speed of 22 knots (41 km/h) and a range of 57 nautical miles. So about 105 kilometers.
The C-8 not only gets the battery pack from the Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor, but also the charging hardware and software. The Candela C-8 does not get an electric motor from Polestar, but a unit specifically developed for boats that is directly connected to the propellers. It is the first time that the Swedish car manufacturer supplies electrical hardware to a third party.
