Polestar on the water
Anyone who is interested in boats in addition to cars is undoubtedly familiar with the Swedish manufacturer Candela, which specializes in electrically powered boats. Candela now uses technology from Polestar.The brand new Candela C-8 is the first fruit of the collaboration between Candela and Polestar. According to Polestar, the C-8 will probably get the 69-kWh battery pack that is also in the Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motors. The C-8 not only gets the battery pack from the Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor, but also the charging hardware and software. The Candela C-8 does not get an electric motor from Polestar, but a unit specifically developed for boats that is directly connected to the propellers. It is the first time that the Swedish car manufacturer supplies electrical hardware to a third party.
