Waiting times at the CBR have also increased considerably due to the corona crisis. So much so that students now refuse to cancel their scheduled driving test as soon as they have any complaints.
Pupils from driving schools do not mention it as soon as they have corona complaints or have been on holiday in orange areas. Because of the long waiting lists at the Central Bureau for Driving Licenses (CBR), they do not want to wait any longer. That is what various industry associations say to BNR. The CBR also confirms that it has received signals about this.
The students are afraid that their exam will be canceled if they are honest. In that case, they will return to the bottom of the waiting list. Vereniging Rijschool Belang warns that the concealment of complaints can have major consequences, because in case of contamination, both the student and the instructor must be quarantined. As a result, even more driving lessons and exams have to be canceled.
