CFMOTO has issued a recall for the 450SR. In a specific production series, the telemetry box (T-Box) can become loose and get stuck between the front fork, which can affect the steering behavior.
Research has shown that in a specific production series of the 450SR, a combination of excessive local stresses and engine vibrations can cause the rubber buckles that hold the T-Box in position to break, causing an unsecured box to move into position. may fall, which will affect the steering angle.
The so-called T-Box was secured in the T-Box holder by means of two rubber buckles. The newly developed kit for the T-Box holder now includes a support to reduce the tension on the buckles. In addition, new buckles are provided in the kit.
The recall concerns the 450SR with production dates from February 6, 2023 to March 7, 2023. The new kit will be installed at the CFMOTO dealer, which has been used in production from all 2024 models. The difference is that during production the support is welded to the frame, instead of screwed as is currently the case in the recall.
