Chinese EV brand Neta to Europe this year

AutoWeek can exclusively confirm that the Chinese EV brand Neta will spread its wings to Europe this year. It could just be that the brand will sell its electric coupe in our corner of the world.

Anyone who closely follows the car news on AutoWeek.nl will undoubtedly know that the Chinese car manufacturer Hozon Auto has been considering introducing its Neta car brand in Europe for a while. Hozon Auto says it has been busy exploring the European market for a while. AutoWeek can now exclusively report that Neta is indeed coming to Europe and in the short term. This year, the first Neta products should be coming our way.

Earlier this year, AutoWeek already showed patent drawings of the Neta GT in the Norwegian patent office, which indicated that Hozon Auto’s European ambitions are deadly serious. Wang Kai, Neta’s international communications manager, confirms to AutoWeek, among other things, that the plans for Neta’s expansion into Europe will soon be completed. Kai also says that Neta will bring its products to Europe this year. We already knew that Neta will bring cars to the IAA in Munich, but within now and ‘a few months’ we should see them on the road in Europe, according to Kai.

Exactly how, when and in which countries Neta’s cars will become available in Europe is not yet clear at the moment. The Neta GT – an electric coupé – is probably among them. Other models are the Neta U, the Neta V and the Neta S.

Is there room in the Netherlands for another Chinese EV brand? In the Netherlands you can already buy EVs from Chinese brands such as Aiways, BYD, Nio, Xpeng, MG, Hongqi, Seres and recently also from Zeekr. Is there another one in between?
