The Citroën C3 as you still encounter it in the showrooms will soon be replaced by a completely new model. With the new C3, Citroën is taking a different path. The compact Frenchman exchanges his now quite old platform that he still shares with the previous Peugeot 208 for a base that is suitable for fully electric powertrains. In fact, the small Citroën only seems to be on the market as an electric ë-C3. The electric Citroën ë-C3 that will soon be launched in Europe is quite similar to the car of the same name that Citroën previously presented for growth markets. For example, the window appears to be similar and the two C3s also show similarities with each other at the rear. It remains to be seen whether the two cars are technically the same.
