Citroën ë-C3: cheap electric hatchback leaked

The most important new Citroën in years?

Citroën ë-C3: cheap electric hatchback leaked

Just hours before Citroën itself pulls the curtain on the Citroën ë-C3, the first photos of that electric compact crossover have already appeared online. The Citroën ë-C3 is potentially a big success for the French. It should cost less than €25,000.

The Citroën C3 as you still encounter it in the showrooms will soon be replaced by a completely new model. With the new C3, Citroën is taking a different path. The compact Frenchman exchanges his now quite old platform that he still shares with the previous Peugeot 208 for a base that is suitable for fully electric powertrains. In fact, the small Citroën only seems to be on the market as an electric ë-C3. Citroën previously indicated that the car should cost less than €25,000 in Europe and that makes the car a very important one for Citroën. Today the curtain officially comes off, but thanks Cochespias we can already show you the first photos of the model.

The electric Citroën ë-C3 that will soon be launched in Europe is quite similar to the car of the same name that Citroën previously presented for growth markets. For example, the window appears to be similar and the two C3s also show similarities with each other at the rear. It remains to be seen whether the two cars are technically the same. Parts of the technology may be similar.

The design of the new Citroën ë-C3 is also striking. We see design influences from the Oli Concept in particular in the design of the front and in particular the headlights. The ë-C3 also carries the new Citroën logo in its snout and on its buttocks. More later today!
