Sort and save websites in Edge by topic. Then add related texts, images and notes.
Collections
Do you have several favorite websites or are you looking for a lot of information about a specific topic? Put links to sites together in an overview. And group them by subject. Such a collection is called a ‘collection’ in Edge. For example, put links to our articles in a ‘SeniorWeb’ collection, create a ‘Walking’ collection to collect walking routes or place beautiful holiday spots in a ‘Holiday’ collection. This way you can find information quickly. In addition, take notes and save relevant images or texts in the collection.
Create collection
Create a collection in Edge like this:
- Open the browser Edge.
- Click on the icon at the top for Collections .
- click on Start new collection..
- Give the collection a name and press the Enter key.
- The collection has been created. Save the open website by clicking Add current page to click.
Save websites to collection
Add sites on the same topic to a collection. Clear!
- Go to the site you want to save.
- Click at the top Collections .
- Click on the name of the collection in which you want to put a site.
- click on Add current page.
The site is in the collection.
Save text
Don’t need all the information on a site? Only save the text you want to keep in the corresponding collection.
- Open the site that contains the text you want to save.
- Click at the top Collections .
- Click on a collection to open it.
- Select the text you want to save.
- Click once on the selected text, drag it to the right and release the mouse button.
The text is stored in the collection.
Save Image
It is also possible to put images in a collection. This is how it works:
- Go to the site that contains the image.
- Click at the top Collections .
- Click on a collection to open it.
- Click on the image you want to save and hold down the mouse button.
- Drag the image to the right and release the mouse button.
The image is saved in the collection.

Write a note in the collection to keep track of your thoughts. For example, if you suddenly have a good idea or are keeping a to-do list.
- Click at the top Collections .
- Click on the name of the collection.
- Click on a notepad icon (add comment).
- A note opens. Type what you want to write down.
- Click the check mark to save the note.
Open website
Open a site from a collection like this:
- click on Collections.
- Click on the collection containing the site.
- Click on the link to the appropriate site.
The site opens.
Open multiple sites
Quickly open all sites from the collection:
- Click at the top Collections .
- Click the collection for which you want to open all sites.
- Click on the three dots icon at the top.
- click on Open all.

Remove item from collection
Here’s how to remove sites, images, notes, and text from the collection:
- Click at the top Collections .
- Click on the name of the collection.
- Hover over the item you want to delete.
- Click on the box at the top right of the item. Select multiple items in this way if necessary.
- Click the trash can icon at the top.
Export collection
Save the references to sites, images, notes and saved texts in Word or Excel like this:
- Click at the top Collections .
- Click on the collection you want to save.
- Click on the three dots icon at the top.
- click on Send to Word or Send to Excel.
Delete collection
Delete a collection when it is no longer useful.
- Click at the top Collections .
- Hover over the collection you want to delete.
- Click on the box at the top right of the collection.
- Click the trash can icon at the top.
